The final conference of the European Commission funded project on “Access To Specialised Victim Support Services For Women with Disabilities Who Have Experienced Violence” will take place in Vienna at the House of the European Union on 28th January 2015. The conference languages are Austrian Sign Language, German and English. If other forms of communication are required, we kindly ask you to inform us via the registration form or by phone (see below). We will try our best to provide them accordingly.

The first half of the day will be dedicated to the presentation of the project and it’s results in the four participating countries (Germany, United Kingdom, Iceland and Austria) and the key note speech on an European and international perspective on violence against women with disabilities.

After a lunch at the venue the afternoon session is devoted on the one hand to the description of the current situation of women with disabilities who have experienced violence and the accessibility to victim support services and on the other hand to the presentation of future perspectives and recommendations for improvement. European experts from the fields of women with disabilities and victim support from four European countries will present and discuss together with participants.

The conference will bring together key professionals, activists, policy makers, researchers and the interested public to exchange and discuss the status of women with disabilities and strategies of enhancement of accessibility to support services.
